The lifts
The elevators are reinvented version or Haussmann
It is the most widely used means of transport. Professionals come dedécerner their first trophies of the elevator. Proof that we can still evolve that gear used by 60% of French.
It is a means of transport of our daily which is not thought particularly. Except when it fails. France has 530,000 elevators - half are over 25 years of service - who make 100 million trips a day ... Home and office alike. That's a lot of time spent in the elevator. And that's just the beginning. "From a forecasting perspective, 70% of the population will be urban by 2030, and the buildings will be increasingly directed towards the vertical," says Pierre Hardouin, president of the Federation of elevators.
Who said verticality said large buildings, floors, and therefore lifts! Lifts that they too, must look to the future and innovate, both in their mode of use, or for the comfort of those who use it more and more each day. The Federation lifts unveiled in Paris four winning projects of the first trophies of the elevator. Innovative projects focused on the future, and meet the social challenges of tomorrow.
• Development durable.Un quasi autonomous elevator. It was one of the challenges in building a project of 32 social housing units in Rezé, in the suburbs of Nantes focus on renewable energy to promote self-energy buildings or even positive energy. This also requires the elevator! The latter, connected on 4 of 212 photovoltaic panels installed on the roof is completely autonomous - including in the event of power failure - 80% during the year, and auto-recharge with battery composed of 97% recycled materials. A first "made in France". "This type of technology responds to future challenges. But for now, it is only applicable on small constructions, "said Alain Meslier, general delegate of the Federation.
• Technologies. The rehabilitation of the First Tower in La Défense. From its 231 meters, the First Tower is a building unconventional. Restructured between 2007 and 2011, it took manage specialized issues: the addition of ten levels in the initial turn led to an increase of 50% of the population that occupies the premises ... and we must manage the flow of tenants this creates! A technology developed by the elevator manufacturer Kone acts as a calculator that directs you to the right elevator car, depending on your destination. A technology increasingly widespread, which regulates traffic while optimizing travel time.
• Integration and heritage. A brand new elevator in a Haussmann building. Build new equipment in the old ... without touching anything or denature. A challenge that has been successful in the exclusive residential complex of 28 University Street, in the seventh arrondissement of Paris. In 2012 the owner decided to completely renovate the building by incorporating an elevator. The new device includes an impeccable reproduction wrought iron on the landing doors, manufacturing of solid wood cabin. A device in line with the aesthetic standards of the time which, although brand new, blends perfectly into the background. In cities such as Paris, not equipped Haussmann buildings are still many ...
• Accessibility. The modernization of what already exists. The last trophy was awarded to the Club Med Alpe d'Huez La Sarenne in one of the largest ski areas in France. A necessity: to modernize and transform the vertical mobility of a hotel that sees scroll several thousand people. Signals from the cabin, platform screen doors, speech synthesis ... Everything has been changed by a system that adapts to the elevator, and requires no additional work. The system - dubbed Osmoz - is fully customizable (buttons, music, voice ...) to better match the users' expectations.
